Text Box: Language
The official language of the Foundation is English. Applications may be submitted in German, Hebrew or English, but English is preferred to avoid delays due to the need to translate the proposal and send it to the Principal Investigators for confirmation before international scientific evaluation can begin. If the delay is such that the evaluation process cannot be completed until the next G.I.F. Board meeting, the proposal will only be judged two years later when the next submission cycle in its subject area comes around. Applicants should also keep in mind that competent scientific translations are extremely hard to obtain and a poor translation seriously compromises the chances of a proposal.
